for the "Best Price"? Don't make a limo-shopping
mistake!
The biggest
mistake you could make when shopping for a limousine service
is shopping on PRICE. Big mistake! In the limousine industry,
there are many variances of quality and price. All too often,
a cheaper price translates into larger risk for you. Most
consumers would not choose a restaurant or hotel based on
price, yet people shop for a limo service this way and expect
5-star quality. If you shop for a limousine service based
on price alone, you will likely be frustrated and disappointed
with your limousine experience.
Old vehicles, poor service, unprofessional chauffeurs with
poor hygiene, dangerous vehicles, and under-insured services
are all possible results of a "best price" limo
shopping experience.
A few questions you should ask the limousine company you are
about to contract are:

Are
they licensed by the MD PSC (Public Service Commission)? Is this company USDOT complient?
If so, what is their PSC number and their USDOT number? (Any legitimate company should know these numbers right off thr top of their head!)

Are
their Drivers licensed with the PSC (current) as well
MD MVA?

What
type of insurance do they carry? Is it commercial or private? If they state that is is private, they are not properly insured.

Do
they sub-contract their jobs? If they do, does the sub-contractor
meet the above requirements? Will the sub-contractor be
up-dated about your contract?

What
is the company's policy on cancellations? Is written notice
needed?

Will
this company charge for stop-charges, earlier departures
or late-night arrivals?

MOST
Importantly - will you receive a written contract?
Judging
companies by price alone is not the best choice. Make sure
